Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions about CPR and first aid training.
What will I learn in a CPR and First Aid course?
CPR and first aid courses cover emergency recognition, CPR skills, AED use, and first aid concepts based on the course selected. Some classes focus only on CPR and AED, while others also include adult or pediatric first aid.
Is CPR training required for my job?
That depends on your employer, your role, and the industry you work in. Many employers require CPR training and documented completion to support workplace readiness, licensing expectations, or internal policy requirements.
How long is CPR and First Aid valid?
Most CPR and first aid course completion cards are issued on a two-year cycle, depending on the program and your employer requirements. We recommend renewing before expiration to stay current with guidelines and maintain workplace readiness. We offer initial courses and renewal options, including skills verification when applicable.
What is the difference between AHA and HSI options?
AHA options are commonly used for healthcare professionals, students, and others who specifically need an American Heart Association eCard. HSI options are often a strong fit for workplace training, general employment requirements, and team-based safety needs.
Do you offer on-site training and training space options?
Yes. FACTS offers on-site training at your workplace as well as sessions at our dedicated training space, depending on the course and your scheduling needs.
Do you offer CPR training in Spanish?
Yes. We offer CPR, first aid, and safety training in both English and Spanish. Let us know your language preference when scheduling, and we will work to match the right instructor to your request.
